Free Wildlife Desktop Backgrounds for November

This is our second installment of our monthly desktop background series. The feedback from last months post was fantastic and you will notice that I have removed the calendar which was included in last months backgrounds. This first image is of a rock monitor (Varanus albigularis) which was spotted on a game drive in the Madikwe Game Reserve. This little guy was hiding in a Leadwood tree before coming out to catch the morning sun.

The second image for this month is off a lioness in mid yawn. We came across this female and her youngsters at a waterhole at mid-day where they were relaxing in the shade of a Tamboti grove.

Our third and final image for this month is of a Grey Heron in silhouette at sunset. I under-exposed by a third of a stop and selected the “Cloudy” white balance setting in this image in order to accentuate the orange and red tones of the sunset.
